Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure

Trust is the entire product here. This page explains exactly how RiskStock makes money, what an affiliate link is, where you may see one, and why it will never change a word of what we write.

How RiskStock is funded

RiskStock is supported by three things, in this order:

There are no paywalls, no premium tiers, no sponsored content, and no paid “reviews.” Every article and tool on the site is free.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a tracked link to a company’s website (for example, a broker like Questrade or Wealthsimple). If you click it and open an account or make a purchase, RiskStock may earn a commission from that company. It never costs you anything extra — the commission comes out of the company’s marketing budget, not your pocket.

Our rules for affiliate links

  1. Editorial comes first, always. We decide what to write and what to recommend before any affiliate consideration. A commission never buys a recommendation, a better review score, or softer criticism.
  2. We only link products we would use ourselves. If a broker with no affiliate program is the best pick for a reader, that broker is our pick.
  3. Every affiliate link is disclosed on the page where it appears. You will see a disclosure notice on any article that contains partner links.
  4. Cons stay in. Our broker reviews list fees, drawbacks, and who should not use a product — affiliate partner or not.
  5. No sponsored content, ever. Nobody can pay to appear in, or influence, an editorial article.

Where you may see affiliate links

Primarily in broker reviews, comparisons, and “how to open an account” guides. You will never see affiliate links styled to look like editorial conclusions, and we do not accept links from products we have not researched.

Regulatory note

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. FTC’s endorsement guidelines and Canada’s Competition Bureau guidance on influencer marketing and disclosure. If you ever spot a partner link that is not clearly disclosed, that is a mistake — please tell us: riskstock.info@gmail.com
